MEDITROPIN (somatropin [rDNA origin]) For Injection is a human growth hormone used to treat growth failure due to growth hormone deficiency. MEDITROPIN is a human growth hormone produced by recombinant DNA technology. MEDITROPIN has 191 amino acid residues and a molecular weight of 22,125 daltons. Its amino acid sequence and structure are identical to the dominant form of human pituitary growth hormone. MEDITROPIN is produced by a mammalian cell line that has been modified by the addition of the human growth hormone gene.

Each Vial of freeze-dried product contains: r-DNA Human Somatropin Hormone (10 IU), Mannitol, Disodium Phosphate DiHydrate and Sodium Dihydrogen Phosphate Monohydrate.
Each Vial contains: 1.25 ml of bacteriostatic sodium chloride injection USP (0.9% sodium chloride and 0.9% benzyl alcohol).

MEDITROPIN is a sterile, non pyrogenic, white, lyophilized powder intended for subcutaneous injection after reconstitution with Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP (0.9% Benzyl Alcohol). The reconstituted solution has a pH of 6.5 to 8.5.

Store Lyophilized product at 2 -8 C. Following reconstitution store at 2-8 C.  Do not freeze. Protect From light

Must be used within 14 days after reconstitution.
